FAQs

Who is listed on the year-end statement when a donation is made on behalf of an organization?

When a donation is made on behalf of an organization, the organization is listed as the primary contact on the year-end statement and is considered the donor for tax purposes.

The individual who completed the donation will still be included on the statement, but their name will appear under the organization name as a secondary contact.

How are donations tracked when someone gives on behalf of an organization?

When a donation is made on behalf of an organization, GivingFuel stores the organization name as the primary contact in the CRM.

In the Donations and Contacts tabs, the organization name will initially appear as the main name on the donation or contact. The individual’s billing name is still captured and displayed directly under the organization name.

Pro Tip: If a donation is made on behalf of an organization, you can find it in the Donations or Contacts tabs by searching for the organization name, the donor’s billing name, or the billing email address.
