When certain conditions are met on your page, you can use actions to show or hide desired field(s). For example, if someone makes a donation over $1000, you can show a free gift field, or show a specific multiple-choice field. Maybe you have a field you no longer want to display on your page, if you have already collected data in it, you do not want to delete it, use a hide action instead.
Pro Tip: Our actions automatically assume the opposite is true. For example, if a field is set to only show based on a certain condition, it will be hidden by default until that condition is met. Once the condition is met, the field will show. Likewise, if a field is set to hide until a condition is met, it will by default show. For example, if a merchandise field is set to show if a $1,000 or greater donation is made, this merchandise field will by default be hidden until the $1,000 donation is entered.
If you would like to show your field at all times, no action is needed.
Example Use Cases
Show a multiple choice field when someone donates over a certain amount
Show a special paragraph text field after someone gives to a specific fund
Hide a merchandise option on your page after a specific date
Set up a Give in Memory option on your giving page and show specific questions only if someone selects that they want to Give In Memory

Hide a Field Instead of Deleting It
Once your page is published and a field has accepted donations, we strongly recommend hiding the field instead of deleting it. By hiding the field, you will retain your data, as deleting a field from the page will delete any previous donors' information that is tied to the field. Here is how to hide your field instead of deleting it.
From the Pages screen, click the pencil icon under the page you want to edit
Go to the Actions tab
Click Create Your First Action, or click the + icon if you already have actions on your page
On the left-hand side, click the Date field
Select the Is After option, and select today's date
On the right-hand side, select the Hide option
Choose the fields that you want to hide
Click Save Action
Click Save Now in the upper-right corner of your page to save your changes. Click Publish to publish these changes to your live page
