Add and customize the confirmation emails that donors receive when donating, and even receive an email when donations are made (BCC)

In GivingFuel, organizations can choose to send their donors confirmation emails when they submit their first-time donation. In addition, organizations can send their donors confirmation emails each time a donor's recurring donation is successfully processed or declined.

Your organization can customize these emails to personally thank your donors and highlight important information. Your organization can also use our BCC feature to receive a confirmation email each time someone donates to your page.

Add and Customize Confirmation Emails

Use Confirmation Emails to send your donors a personalized confirmation email every time they submit their first-time donation.

  • Go to the Pages tab from the top main menu, and click View All Pages

  • Click the pencil icon under the page you want to edit

  • Go to the Emails tab, and select Confirmation

  • Toggle the Send a confirmation email after donation button to yes

  • Customize the Confirmation Email as you would like

    • Subject line: the first line of the email that your donors see

    • From name: the from name that your donors see

    • Reply to email: the email that will receive any replies that your donors send in response to the email

    • BCC email: an email that receives a copy of the confirmation email

  • Select the Copy Confirmation Page to Email checkbox if you would like to copy all information in the confirmation page to the confirmation email

  • If you would like to create a custom message, use the text field to customize the message, font, and other elements as desired

  • Click Save Now in the upper-right corner of your page to save your changes. Click Publish to publish these changes to your live page

Pro Tip: By turning on BCC Emails, the email added to the BCC field will receive a copy of the confirmation email every time a donor submits their first-time donation. You can add multiple emails to receive BCC emails by separating each email by a comma.

Add and Customize Recurring Donation Processed Emails

Add a Recurring Donation Processed email to send a personalized confirmation email to your donors every time their recurring donation is processed.

  • Go to the Pages tab from the top main menu, and click View All Pages

  • Click the pencil icon under the page you want to edit

  • Go to the Emails tab, and select Recurring Donation Processed

  • Toggle the Enable recurring donation processed email button to yes

  • Customize the Confirmation Email as you would like

    • Subject line: the first line of the email that your donors see

    • From name: the from name that your donors see

    • Reply to email: the email that will receive any replies that your donors send in response to the email

    • BCC email: an email that receives a copy of the recurring donation processed email

  • Use the text field to customize the message, font, and other elements as desired

  • Click Save Now in the upper-right corner of your page to save your changes. Click Publish to publish these changes to your live page

Add a Recurring Donation Declined email to send a personalized confirmation email to your donors every time their recurring donation is declined.

  • Go to the Pages tab from the top main menu, and click View All Pages

  • Click the pencil icon under the page you want to edit

  • Go to the Emails tab, and select Recurring Donation Declined

  • Toggle the Enable recurring donation declined email button to yes

  • Customize the Confirmation Email as you would like

    • Subject line: the first line of the email that your donors see

    • From name: the from name that your donors see

    • Reply to email: the email that will receive any replies that your donors send in response to the email

    • BCC email: an email that receives a copy of the recurring donation declined email

  • Use the text field to customize the message, font, and other elements as desired

FAQs

Can I Add the Donor's Name to the Confirmation Emails?

Yes! Users can populate the donor's first and last name in the confirmation email with the tags #firstname #lastname. These tags work on the confirmation email, recurring donation processed email, and recurring donation declined email.

Can I add the Current Date to the Confirmation Emails?

Right now, the current date cannot be populated to confirmation emails.

What is the Different Between the Reply To Email and the BCC Email?

If a donor replies to their confirmation, their response will go to the email address listed in the Reply To email field.

Any email addresses listed in the BCC Email field will receive a copy of the confirmation each time the donor receives a confirmation aka when a donor donates or has a recurring donation decline. The donors will not see or reply to the BCC email it is simply Blind Carbon Copied on donation confirmation emails. This is an optional field, and users can add multiple BCC emails if desired.
