Enable your donors to edit their recurring donation on their own and view their year-end statements

The Donor Account Center is a great feature that your donors can utilize to view and edit their donations on their own. This gives donors assurance and convenience when they donate to your organization, as they can view their previous donations and modify their recurring donations at any time.

In addition, your donors can use the Donor Account Center to download their tax-deductible year-end statements.

Configure Your Donor Account Center

GivingFuel allows you to customize the account center design, email settings, support information, and the widget to best fit the needs of your organization.

  • To configure your Donor Account, Center, first go to the Extras tab from the top menu bar, and select Donor Account Center

Account Center Design

The Account Center Design section can be used to customize the design of your organization's account center.

  • Users can copy the link to your organization's account center on the Account Center URL section

  • Click Upload Image to upload a logo

  • Select the color circles or enter the desired hex code to customize your Background Color and Text Color

  • Customize the message in the Welcome Message text box

  • Toggle the Allow subscribers to unsubscribe from your email list to on if you would like to allow your donors to unsubscribe through the Account Center

  • Scroll down and click Save Changes when you have customized the design as you would like

Once saved, your customizations will appear in the Donor Account Center. The Welcome Message will appear on the initial page that donors see when they log into their account.

The logo will appear on all pages within the Donor Account Center on the top left-hand side, and customized background and text colors will appear throughout the Donor Account Center.

Email Settings

The Email Settings can be used to add and customize the Welcome Email message that your donors receive when they activate their Donor Account Center profile.

  • Scroll down to the Email Settings section

  • Edit the Email From Name on your Donor Account Center email as desired

  • Keep the Send a Welcome Email toggled on to enable this feature. Turn the toggle off if you would not like to send a welcome email when donors register for an account

  • Customize the email message in the text box

  • Adjust the email button text in the Welcome email button text field

  • Scroll down and click Save Changes when you have customized the email settings as you would like

Support

The Support section can be used to customize the contact details that appears at the bottom of each page in the Donor Account Center if your donors require assistance.

  • Scroll down to the Support section

  • Edit the support email to the correct email

  • Add a support phone if desired

  • Scroll down and click Save Changes when you have customized the support information as you would like

The support information will be added at the bottom of every page in the Donor Account Center.

Widget

The Widget Button Code can be used to create a button that links to the Donor Account Center so your donors can easily access this page if needed.

  • Scroll down to the Widget section

  • Copy the widget code, and use it to paste onto another page

Enable Donors to Create an Account on your GivingFuel Page

  • Go to the Pages tab in the top main menu, and click View All Pages

  • Click the pencil icon under the page for which you want to enable donors to create an account in the Donor Account Center

  • Go to the Settings tab, and select Donor Permissions

  • Toggle the Allow Donor to Create an Account button to Yes

  • Add dates to the Available From text box and Until text fields if you would like to restrict donors to create accounts between specific dates. If you leave these fields blank, donors will be allowed to create accounts at any date

  • In the Include Links to Create Accounts section, keep the two checkboxes marked if you would like to include the link to the Donor Account Center at the bottom of the receipt page and on email confirmations. Uncheck these checkboxes if you would like to hide these links

  • Customize the message on the receipt page and buttons as desired by editing the text in the text box

The Website Button Builder allows you to create a button to include on your website that donors can click to login to their account.

  • Select whether you'd like to have the button open the link in a new window or open in a pop-up over your website

  • Customize the text in the Button Text field as desired

  • Customize the button text color and button background color

  • Copy the code provided and add it to your website for easy access for your attendees

How can my donors claim their account and utilize this feature?

Is there a way for my organization to receive a notification when a recurring donation has been edited or stopped by the donor?

At this time, organizations will not be notified when donors make updates to their recurring donations using the Donor Account Center.

If I initially enabled the Donor Account Center on my GivingFuel page and then decided to disable this feature, can donors still log in?

Once your Donors have claimed their account on the live page, they will be able to return to the portal URL and view their donor information, even if you disable Donor Permissions on the form.

Can my donors save their billing information using the Donor Account Center?

Yes, donors can use the Donor Account Center to save their billing information for future donations! To set up this feature, users can go to their GivingFuel Edit page.

From this page, users can select the pencil icon over their header, scroll down to the Help Navigation section, and toggle this feature on.

To allow donors to login to auto-fill their information, we recommend selecting the Login checkboxes that are available in the Help Navigation section. Click Done, and click Save Now in the top right corner to save your changes.
